2016 Regular Season Registration is open!

Registration for the 2016 EFA regular season is now open! Come join 600 kids in playing the best team sport in town!

 

4th-8th Grade Tackle season: August 15th - October
2nd-3rd Grade Flag season: Sept - October

2016 EFA Summer Programs

EFA Flag Football (ages 6-11)

Get in the game and register your sons & daughters for the Edina Football Association’s Summer Flag Football program at Lewis Park. Introducing young players to the fun and fundamentals of the game, we will organize flag football games and host some fun competitions. Boys and girls are welcome.  This is fun way to spend the morning before the afternoon Playground Program.

Space is limited to the first 60.

Time:
11:30am – 12:30pm

Dates:
10 Sessions - Mondays & Wednesdays
June 13 - July 20th (*No sessions the week of July 4th)

2016 Hornet Camp:

**Please note that camp will be at Pamela Park this year due to construction at Kuhlman**

Hornet Camp will be running the weeks of July 18-21 and July 25-28 at Pamela Park. It is run by the Edina High School Football coaches and varsity players and focuses on the fundamentals of football. It is a great way to gear up for the football season starting in August!

Grades 3-5 (as of fall 2016): 5pm-6pm; shorts, t-shirts, cleats

Grades 6-8 (as of fall 2016): 6pm-7pm; helmets, shoulder pads, girdles

Grades 9-12 (as of fall 2016): 7pm-9pm; helmets, shoulder pads, girdles

If your schedule doesn't permit your child to attend both weeks, you may register for either of the weeks by checking Week 1 or Week 2 in the registration section.

F.A.S.T powered by the EFA (Functional Athletic Speed Training)

Beginner Functional Athletic Speed Training

(Boys & Girls - Grades 6-8th)

Beginner FAST is a high intensity five-week instructional workout that encompasses speed, agility, quickness, and conditioning.  Beginner FAST Training is intended for younger athletes. The lesson design will feature training techniques to improve these facets.  In addition, strength and power for athletic explosion will be featured.  Athletes will receive instruction and guidance through:

  • Warm-ups, featuring specifics on form running

  • Stretching-including static and dynamic

  • Speed training

  • Agility training

  • Plyometric training

  • Muscular and cardiovascular conditioning

The opportunity for athletes to train and compete together is an emphasis that FAST provides athletes.  The goal of FAST is to bring together athletes from all sports for one common goal, to improve their athletic skills and performance.

Session times and dates are below:

Grades 6-8  (boys and girls):

          June 13,15,20,22,27,29

          July 11,13,18,20 (*no sessions the week of July 4th)

Cost: $170

Be on time! Supportive tennis shoes are a must, bring cleats if you wish. Bring your own water. A 30:1 class teaching ratio is set.  . Session(s) could be added or dropped to meet demand and interest.


Functional Athletic Speed Training

(Boys & Girls - Grades 9-12th)
